Summary of Role

  1. Ensure compliance with current regulations, accepted professional standards, policies, and procedures (including legislation on data protection, the Equality Act, and health and safety).
  2. Drive continuous improvement with a focus on engagement & welfare activities, maximizing productivity, devolving HR responsibilities to line managers, and building leadership capability.
  3. Support in transforming and strengthening the organizational culture, ensuring that company values and approach are displayed.
  4. Provide professional support and advice aimed at transforming and developing the organization, ensuring managers are sufficiently skilled to manage their workforce issues.
  5. Support in the development of effective employment policies across Harbour Healthcare, in consultation with senior managers and staff as appropriate.
  6. Coaching, mentoring, and supporting staff members to identify their strengths and development needs while championing a culture of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
  7. Design and develop HR training programs for management and employees to incorporate best practices and lessons learned.
  8. Consult with management on performance, organizational, and leadership matters.

Key Responsibilities

Team:

  1. Lead by example in creating excellent working relationships, ensuring that Harbour Healthcare values are delivered professionally.
  2. Regularly coach, mentor, and support regional managers and high-potential colleagues to identify strengths and development needs.
  3. Support a robust program of up-skilling teams where gaps are identified.

Service:

  1. Ensure managers develop their teams to deliver safe care and support the Regional Teams accordingly.
  2. Work closely with support office departments to ensure timely delivery of the employee journey.
  3. Champion and drive Harbour Healthcare as the employer of choice.
  4. Support the HR team to resolve concerns and complaints in a timely manner.

Compliance:

  1. Work with the Senior Regional Team on continual improvement of quality systems and processes.
  2. Provide expert advice and support through proactive management of risk.
  3. Ensure all HR-related policies, procedures, and documentation are implemented effectively.

Personal Specification

  1. Completed or working towards a CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent).
  2. Knowledge of regulatory requirements/legislation/guidance and best practices in line with CQC.
  3. Experience of writing policies and procedures (desirable).
