HR Business Partner Associate/Director (equivalent to AVP) - Glasgow
We’re seeking three hires to join our team in Glasgow, reporting to the Sales & Trading, Investment Management, or Technology HR Business Partner teams in London. The roles will also co-report to the HCM Employee Services lead in Glasgow. Human Capital Management, both globally and in EMEA, is undergoing a transformation, and these positions will play a key role in that journey.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to partner with the business and engage in ad-hoc projects. While client-facing, the candidate should also be adaptable to various tasks as needed by the business and Coverage team.
What you’ll do in the role
• Advise and manage employee relations issues, considering best practices, legal frameworks, and business outcomes, liaising with Employee Relations, Legal Advisors, and External Counsel as needed.
• Collaborate with the HR Business Partner team on Year-End initiatives such as compensation decisions, promotion roundtables, and performance management.
• Manage and advise on Occupational Health cases.
• Partner with the business and HR teams to implement Talent and D&I strategies.
• Provide data analytics and reports to support decision-making.
• Collaborate on recruitment activities with internal teams.
• Assist with international relocations and assignments.
• Support monthly data audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
What you’ll bring in the role:
• Degree or equivalent qualification.
• CIPD qualification preferred.
• HR experience within financial or professional services.
• Knowledge of Regulatory Remuneration environment is a plus.
• Ability to build relationships within matrix organizations.
• Strong team player with independence, proactivity, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and attention to detail.
• Capable of managing expectations, influencing, and persuading.
• Multi-tasking ability under pressure and adaptable to change.
• Logical problem-solving skills.
• Awareness of employment risks and escalation procedures.
• Previous small team management experience is preferred, though this role does not have direct reports upon start.
