The Role

Are you passionate about driving business performance through exceptional HR practices? We are looking for an HR Business Partner to join our Energy Division. In this role, you will be pivotal in enhancing our operational HR capabilities and delivering top-notch HR services that align with both Divisional and Group HR strategies.

As an HR Business Partner, you will collaborate closely with the Head of HR, Product Line leaders, functional heads and other stakeholders. Your mission will be to lead and refine our talent management programs, providing guidance and coaching to develop outstanding people management skills across our management team. You will identify and implement solutions that meet our business needs, ensuring we continue to grow and succeed.

Role Responsibilities

  • Drive the implementation of HR initiatives and operational employee strategy within the businesses working with the Head of HR and colleagues, initiating and influencing change management programmes.
  • Using experience, skills and knowledge of the HR industry, make a positive impact in key areas such as change management, organisational design, employee engagement, performance, reward, L&D and talent analytics.
  • Pro-actively manage, advise and support the full HR life cycle within the businesses.
  • Identify issues, trends and explore underlying causes to provide effective HR solutions/projects/initiatives.
  • Support line managers across the business on organisational structure and design, championing communication and employee engagement across the business.
  • Work with colleagues and Group HR Centres of Excellence to support and uphold policy and procedures, providing input in to the development of best practice HR.
  • Coach line managers to be effective people leaders, ensuring accountability through decision making and communication, within the parameters of Group and Divisional policy and practice, as well all regional employment law.
  • Undertake any other reasonable ad hoc duties, including projects, as and when required, acting as delegate for the Head of HR during periods of absence.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • CIPD level 7 (or country equivalent) essential
  • Demonstrated experience as an HR Business Partner is essential
  • International Experience is desired
  • Experienced application of HR strategy within a product line environment
  • Demonstrated experience of Reward compliance and processes
  • Demonstrated employment legislation experience (essential), international experience (desirable)
  • Budgeting (desirable) and commercial financial experience (essential)
  • Experienced in policy development
  • Experienced in mergers, acquisition and divestment (desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience of coaching and influencing business managers (essential)
  • Knowledge of project management and change management within an HR environment
  • Experienced in use and improvement of HR Information Systems, Learning Management System, Recruitment Platforms, Performance & Talent Management Systems
  • Behaviours:

  • A strong safety leader who can articulate the safety culture appropriate to business needs.
  • Respectful and professional, with a sensitive approach to cultural and individual differences, building an inclusive and diverse culture across the business.
