Join our Building Services team as an HR Business Partner. You will partner with the FM project management teams and lead the implementation of the people plan. Coaching line managers to take accountability and ensure the highest levels of people engagement and performance. Practitioner and account manager for all HR matters, working with shared specialist resources utilising the ‘one Skanska’ philosophy.

What you’ll do:

  • Demonstrate role modelling of, and be ambassador for, strategic HR business partnering across your areas.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of how the FM projects are commercially viable and add value through people related activities. Utilise people data to measure and improve project performance.
  • Develop robust stakeholder relationships with managers and gain their respect to be able to influence decision making.
  • Lead resource forecasting for your dedicated areas to understand future requirements and implement strategies to address.
  • Work in collaboration with the Resourcing team to offer robust governance and benchmarking to support an effective recruitment process.
  • Manage employee relations matters effectively to promote a high-performance culture.
  • Support the HR Director to execute all annual HR activities effectively.
  • Drive sector talent review processes, and work with operational teams to ensure robust succession plans are in place for key roles across multiple time horizons.
  • Ensure that talent is identified, developed and retained.
  • Effectively champion the engagement survey and outputs to leverage engagement levels across the sector and work with Directors and project leaders on areas which require intervention.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Proven delivery in the key areas of generalist HR including business partnering experience, improving business performance through people strategies.
  • Experience of successful talent development strategies, and leading diversity & inclusion initiatives.
  • A thorough and up to date knowledge of employment law, and experience of practical application of this in a complex business environment, across operative and staff populations
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills with a track record of building credible relationships.
  • Able to work as part of a team; demonstrates the ability to network effectively up, down and across the business
  • Aspirations to develop your career to HR Leadership Team level
