A leading recruitment agency is seeking an experienced HR professional for a strategic role at their Glascoed site in Wales. The successful candidate will partner with business leaders, shape the People Plan, and lead impactful HR initiatives. Essential qualifications include 5+ years in HR and a degree in HR/Business. Qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience in HR (HRBP or Senior HR Advisor level).
  • Experience working in a unionised environment is an advantage.
  • Background in engineering/manufacturing or project-based organisations is an advantage.

Job description
The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced HR professional to join our Glascoed site. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with at least 5 years' HR experience who is ready to step up into a more strategic and influential role.

You'll be the main HR point of contact on site, working closely with business leaders and a small, supportive HR team of five. The role is focused on partnering with the business, shaping people strategy, and driving impactful initiatives - rather than day-to-day transactional HR.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Partnering with leadership across Glascoed and central manufacturing teams.
  • Shaping and delivering the People Plan to support business objectives.
  • Providing coaching and advice to leaders on people matters.
  • Leading HR projects and embedding HR initiatives across the site.
  • Building effective relationships with trade unions.
  • Occasionally travelling to other sites (every other month).
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years' experience in HR (HRBP or Senior HR Advisor level).
  • Strong generalist background with both operational and strategic exposure.
  • Experience working in a unionised environment (advantage).
  • Background in engineering/manufacturing or project-based organisations (advantage).
  • Confident communicator, able to influence and build relationships across all levels.
  • Degree in HR/Business or similar, CIPD qualified (preferred).
