Job description

  • HR Business Partner
  • 6 month Day Rate Contract
  • Start: Immediate

This role plays a critical part in driving organisational effectiveness, cultural alignment, and performance improvement. It combines strategic HR leadership with hands-on operational delivery, so we're looking for someone with strong commercial acumen, a collaborative approach, with the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Business partnering with senior leaders to shape workforce strategies aligned to business objectives.
  • Managing end-to-end employee lifecycle processes, including recruitment, on boarding, employee relations, performance management, and off boarding.
  • Leading annual people processes such as salary reviews, bonus payments, and talent planning.
  • Maintaining accurate benchmark data and workforce reporting and providing people insights that support strategic decision-making.
  • Supporting organisational design, change management, and succession planning.
  • Deputising for the People Manager when required.
  • Regular internal stakeholders include the SLT, C-Suite, Finance, and functional leaders across the business.

The role requires a strong foundation in HR best practices, employment law, and strategic business partnering.

Essential expertise needed:

  • CIPD Level 5 as a minimum
  • Deep understanding of HR operations, employment law, organisational design, and workforce planning.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to link people priorities to business goals.
  • Experience leading change and transformation initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
  • Confidence in using data to drive insight and action.

The role involves significant autonomy and judgement, with the expectation to act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders. It may also involve coaching and mentoring junior members of the People team or upskilling line managers across the business.
