Abbey Logistics - A UK and European, Industry Leading, food and non-food tanker Distribution Business are seeking to recruit the following;

HR Business Partner

Location: Lowton WA3 (1 day working from home)

National Travel Required

Hours: 40 hours per week

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: Competitive + Benefits (up to 40k dependant on experience + £3k Car allowance)

Are you an experienced HR Business Partner or a Senior HR Advisor looking to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a proactive and commercially focused HR professional to join our team, supporting our people and driving business success.

About the Role:

As an HR Business Partner, you will work closely with managers across multiple locations to provide expert HR guidance and strategic support. This is a hands-on role, requiring a strong understanding of HR operations, employee relations, and change management. With national travel required, you will have the opportunity to work closely with teams across the business, ensuring HR best practices are implemented effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Act as a trusted HR advisor to managers, providing expert guidance on HR policies, employee relations, and people management.
  2. Support with employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and performance improvement.
  3. Lead HR projects and change initiatives, including organisational development and workforce planning.
  4. Work closely with the recruitment team to support talent acquisition and succession planning.
  5. Drive employee engagement, well-being, and retention strategies.
  6. Ensure compliance with employment law and HR best practices.
  7. Support learning and development initiatives to build capability across the workforce.
  8. Use HR data and analytics to provide insight and support decision-making.
  9. Travel to sites across the UK to build relationships and provide hands-on support.

What We’re Looking For:

  1. Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor in a fast-paced environment.
  2. CIPD Level 5 or above (or equivalent experience).
  3. Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  4. Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  6. A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a hands-on approach.
  7. Willingness to travel nationally as part of the role.
  8. Full UK driving licence.
