Job description

HR Business Partner | Poole | £50,000

Drive a culture of learning, support people-first growth, and play a key role in HR and recruitment.

We’re partnering with a values-led organisation that’s investing heavily in its people strategy. With continued growth on the horizon and a strong emphasis on internal development, they’re looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to lead their Learning & Development strategy while also supporting across generalist HR and recruitment.

Reporting into the Chief People Officer, this is a broad, hands-on role where L&D remains the focus, but you’ll also act as a trusted HR partner across the business. From coaching managers and overseeing employee relations to supporting recruitment and onboarding, you’ll ensure the people experience is consistent, engaging, and aligned with business goals.

In return, you’ll work for a company that truly values its people. You’ll benefit from a modern office environment, monthly and annual profit share, free Friday lunches, a birthday gift, employee assistance programme, unlimited refreshments and snacks, and regular social and corporate events.

As HR Business Partner, you’ll:

  • Own the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of the company’s Learning & Development strategy
  • Build and manage engaging leadership and management development programmes
  • Roll out and own a new Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Design and deliver training, workshops, toolkits, and resources across all levels
  • Support graduate and apprentice development from induction through to qualification
  • Use data and feedback to track training effectiveness and ROI
  • Act as a trusted partner to managers on day-to-day HR matters including performance, development, and employee engagement
  • Support the recruitment process, from role scoping and advertising to interviewing and onboarding
  • Contribute to broader People initiatives and help embed a culture of continuous improvement
  • Maintain knowledge of HR best practice and employment law, ensuring compliance and consistency across people processes

As HR Business Partner, you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in an L&D-focused role at Advisor or Manager level
  • Strong facilitation and instructional design skills across e-learning, in-person training, and on-the-job learning
  • HR generalist experience (ideally at Business Partner level) with knowledge of recruitment and employee relations
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to align people activity with business goals
  • A confident, collaborative approach and the ability to influence across all levels
  • A passion for people development and creating a workplace where people thrive

This is an opportunity to make a lasting impact — shaping the future of talent development while supporting the full employee lifecycle in a business that truly invests in its people.
