Job summary

Anglian Water Group Ltd. is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to support Capital Delivery teams on major infrastructure projects. You will translate business goals into people strategies, lead organisational design and drive succession, culture and ability to grow leadership across the function.

You'll partner with Directors to shape workforce planning and use metrics to influence decisions, ensuring compliance and a high-performing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating as an HR Business Partner within a matrix environment and linking people strategies to growth.
• Proven track record in organisational design, workforce planning and people change initiatives.
• Excellent communication, coaching and relationship-building with senior stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and risk management.

Salary: Circa £60,000 per annum Location: Peterborough Working Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week (flexible working opportunities available) Shape Growth. Lead Change. Enable Infrastructure Delivery. Are you a strategic HR Business Partner who thrives in dynamic, and complex environments? Do you have a track record of enabling business growth, leading organisational change and delivering people solutions? We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to support our growing Capital Delivery teams as they develop and deliver some of our most ambitious major infrastructure projects to date. Working closely with the team and senior leaders, you'll play a key role in shaping and delivering people strategies that support growth, organisational effectiveness and business performance. This is a unique opportunity to influence strategic decision-making, support transformation and develop high-performing teams that drive successful delivery of major projects, both now and in the future.

What will you be doing?

You will act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, translating business objectives into practical people strategies. Your focus will be on fostering a high-performing culture, challenging and supporting leaders as they navigate growth, ensuring people decisions contribute directly to business success. You will influence decision-making at a senior level, lead organisational design initiatives, support transformation programmes, and provide expert guidance across the full employee lifecycle, promoting a workplace where everyone thrives.

• Partnering with Directors and Senior Leadership Teams to drive organisational performance through people strategies.
• Leading on and supporting with organisational growth, design and workforce planning
• Supporting succession planning, talent development strategies and diversity, equality and inclusion initiatives, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
• Driving employee engagement, performance and continuous improvement across the business.
• Act as a trusted advisor and coach to managers, enabling them to build capability and confidence in managing their teams.
• Collaborate with leaders to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with employment legislation.
• Collaborating with Partner organisations to support an integrated way of working to deliver on shared outcomes.

What does it take to be successful?

• Experience operating as an HR Business Partner within a matrix environment, with a strong understanding of how people strategies support business performance and growth.
• Proven track record supporting business growth, organisational design and workforce planning initiatives.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, coaching and relationship-building skills
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders and operating at executive level.
• Strong understanding of employment law and people risk management.
• Be confident in analysing HR data and using metrics to influence decision making

You’ll Also Bring

• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
• CIPD qualification (or equivalent) and commitment to professional development.
• An understanding of major projects or infrastructure environment with the ability to balance business objectives, programme demands and employee experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management and coaching skills.
