About this opportunity

As the HR Business Partner UK (m/f), you will be responsible for establishing a strong human resources partnership and driving best practices and performance improvements in the UK office of Align Technology. You will act as a partner sharing responsibility for the goals and targets delivery, working closely with management and employees on the front line. Your role involves providing hands-on and strategic input, insight, and advice on people-related issues such as talent management, employee relations, coaching/development, compensation, conflict management, organizational development, and training.

You will play an essential part in establishing and driving HR programs and talent initiatives within specific company functions, ensuring alignment with business objectives. You will operate across all levels of the HR spectrum—strategic, operational, and tactical—effectively influencing across the organization and navigating ambiguity by introducing structure when appropriate. Your responsibilities include setting and aligning global talent strategies with business priorities, defining and executing talent processes and programs, and participating in leadership teams as a partner to the business.

We seek a flexible HR Business Partner who thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, capable of managing multiple demands and priorities, and understanding organizational challenges to address talent needs. In this role, you will:

  1. Partner with senior leadership to develop and implement effective HR policies supporting strategic growth.
  2. Provide thought leadership on organizational and people-related strategies and execution.
  3. Educate and coach managers on performance management and employee development.
  4. Offer expertise in feedback, employee relations, development, coaching, compensation, and organizational development.
  5. Contribute to the development of HR programs such as recruiting, retention, compensation, benefits, and Learning & Development.
  6. Collaborate with the HR team to foster a culture of engagement and excellence.
  7. Develop strategies to improve organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
  8. Lead core HR processes including performance calibration, compensation cycles, and promotions.
  9. Analyze employee reports to guide decision-making and provide proactive solutions.
  10. Provide HR consulting on organizational design and performance management.
  11. Partner with Learning & Development on training, career mobility, and performance programs.
  12. Educate teams on compensation practices and career transitions.
  13. Influence management and develop organizational development plans.
  14. Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  15. Manage special projects related to new locations.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR Management, or similar.
  • Excellent English skills.
  • 5-7 years HR experience, including 2 years as an HR Business Partner.
  • Strong knowledge of UK Labor Law.
  • Team player with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Project and change management skills.
  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving skills.
  • High integrity and compliance standards.
  • Ability to coach and influence to achieve results.
