Job description

HR Business Partner

Salary: £55,000-£60,000

Location: Nottinghamshire

Macmillan Davies is looking to attract a HR Business Partner for a role in the East Midlands.

The business operates as a well-recognised, multi-channel retailer that continually evolves.

The main purpose of this role is to create and implement a People Plan for specific business areas, supporting the delivery of the Group People strategy.

Main focus areas include organisation design, ensuring roles and structures are fit for purpose, talent attraction, retention, and development to support succession planning, and supporting managers in proactively managing employee relations issues.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Create and implement the People Plan for your designated functions that support the Group-wide People strategy.
  2. Enhance HR engagement and the quality of HR output.
  3. Partner with business leaders to drive and deliver HR solutions that maximise people performance, strategy, and engagement.
  4. Support Line Managers in Employee Relations matters and develop appropriate solutions.
  5. Provide organisational design where necessary to ensure a fully functioning, efficient structure across your business units.
  6. Support managers in recruitment, retention, and management of a growing workforce.
  7. Work with the internal talent team to ensure timely implementation of talent processes, including establishing succession and workforce plans.
  8. Collaborate with colleagues to deliver transformational people change projects.

The business seeks a well-versed HR Business Partner to support various Head Office functions and be part of the Business Partnering team across the organisation.

This role will test your generalist HR expertise. We are looking for a highly credible, commercially savvy professional adept at managing a broad range of tasks and projects to completion.

Your approach should always be to find workable solutions rather than take a black-and-white stance. Your judgment and knowledge will be highly valued.

You will be engaging with entrepreneurial leaders who expect the best.

As with many retail businesses, there is an expectation that the post holder will attend the site daily. The Head Office is located in Nottinghamshire.

If you are eager to perform, willing to go the extra mile, think commercially, and build long-standing relationships, then this is the place for you.

This role offers opportunities for career growth and professional exposure that may not be available elsewhere.

If you are considering a move and want to see if your career ambitions align with the business, do not hesitate to apply today!
