We are looking for a HR Business Partner to join our team in Paris and lead on all people related activity for France.

You will need a strong understanding of French employment law, the confidence to work in a standalone in-country role and be willing to play an active part in a group wide HR function.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Day to day you will be the local subject matter expert and provide a professional HR service to a team of circa 50 employees in Paris.

Some of the key activities include:

  • Providing HR support to people managers, offering advice and guidance across a range of topics including day to day queries on company policy and practice, managing the employee lifecycle and advising on employee issues
  • Supporting local employees with questions related to their employment with SEFE
  • Ensuring compliance with local employment laws and customs and take the lead to ensure that the localised French approach aligns with group HR and business activity
  • Coordinating relations with the Work Council (“CSE”) and helping to run the CSE meetings
  • Continuing the implementation of the CSR (Corporate social responsibility) culture and program
  • Supporting specialist teams (resourcing, HR operations) at a local level, for example by contributing to the employer brand
  • Driving the implementation of group wide initiatives at a local level
  • Supervise administrative and payroll matters in coordination with HR support teams
  • Contributing to the annual compensation review process and working closely with the finance teams on headcount reporting and planning
  • Providing support across the broader HR team as required, helping with ad-hoc absence cover, and contributing to group wide projects and initiatives

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English. Other European languages skills (Dutch or German) desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the confidence to influence stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities to achieve deadlines and deliver against customer expectations
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (power point & excel)
  • Excellent working knowledge of French employment law
  • Experience of supporting and advising managers in a HR Business Partnering capacity with a track record of successful employee relations management
  • Experience or knowledge of job evaluation (desirable) together with a working knowledge of other HR functional areas including Resourcing, Performance Management & Learning & development
