About the role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our HR Business Partnering Team within our Nottingham Support Office, partnering with our Healthcare Business Unit.

Healthcare is one of the largest, most exciting areas of the Boots business. It has been at the heart of our business for our 176-year history and we are currently engaged in an extensive transformation of its operating model that will ensure it is part of our future for many years to come.

You will report into the Head of HR and sit at the heart of the people agenda for the respective function, where you will gain an understanding of the function you partner, collaborating with the leadership teams to deliver the exciting growth and BAU strategy for Healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Together with the Head of HR, steer, shape and deliver the people plan for the function that enables it to achieve its in-year objectives through creative and strategic HR solutions.
  • Combine a knowledge of the function with external insights and understanding of best practice and internal people metrics to identify, develop and deploy people interventions and solutions.
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with HR team members in other partnering teams, and the HR Centres of Excellence to guarantee an integrated approach across the function, and bringing insight about wider organisational activities to each business area.
  • Deliver a range of HR solutions that are tailored and appropriate for the specific function e.g. the development of team member capabilities, engaging teams on new ways of working, talent and succession planning, wellbeing and employee experience to name but a few. The scope is extensive and will provide a great variety of opportunities for the successful candidate to positively impact their business areas.
  • Coach, support, and influence senior leaders on all people 'lifecycle' issues and the overall people agenda
  • Manage and execute various HR projects, including colleague engagement, training and development, organisational change initiatives.
What you'll need to have

  • Business partnering skills and the ability to influence across a wide and varied stakeholder network.
  • Ability to support the business to drive change in complex and often ambiguous environments.
  • Broad generalist HR expertise across the full HR 'lifecycle'
  • Strong knowledge of trends, ideas, and innovation in HR and how to apply them appropriately to business context
  • Experience of facilitation and coaching
  • A problem-solving mindset, with a focus on root-cause analysis and creative solutions.
  • Experience of managing complex people change, partnering leaders and inspiring teams.
It would be great if you also have

  • CIPD qualified (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience contributing to the change and transformation agenda with a working knowledge of organisational design and delivery
