Job description

C&C Group plc is a premium drinks company which owns, manufactures, markets and distributes a unique portfolio of beer and cider brands in its home markets and across the globe. You probably know us best from brands like Bulmers, Magners and Tennent’s.

We’re looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to help us support our employees. This role will work closely with the management team to shape, scope and deliver a commercially focused people plan.

About the Role:

  • This a commercially facing HR role and will work with the management team to shape, scope and then deliver a commercially focussed people plan within the business.
  • Act as a trusted strategic partner, connecting our people and business goals
  • Coach and guide leaders in shaping and executing HR strategies that drive growth and success.
  • Champion talent development priorities, elevate the employee experience, and drive organisational effectiveness
  • Work closely with the specialists and stakeholders to deliver impactful HR initiatives that support our goals and builds a high-performance culture.
  • Advising and supporting leadership teams with the management of their Trade Union relationships within Unionised sites. Supporting Wage and other TU negotiations in line with the Group IR strategy.
  • Developing and maintaining a sound understanding of the business using facilitation and coaching techniques to support and to identify opportunities and resolve issues
  • Identifying and facilitating individual, team and organisational development and effectiveness that will lead to improved business performance
  • Developing and maintaining sufficient people skills and experience within the business for both present and future business needs

About You:

  • Ability to mix commercial insight and HR professionalism
  • Ability to develop and maintain a sound understanding of the business is critical as is the ability to support the development of individual and team capability
  • Ability to achieve high performance, develop collaborative relationships, challenge behaviours and influence change and direction across a broad network of relationships, particularly at a senior level
  • Well-developed commercial acumen with experience of achieving results, driving change, and establishing best practice through other people.
  • Strong critical thinking ability and resilience
  • Coaching and influencing skills
  • Excellent understanding of HR policies and procedures and a sound knowledge of Employment Law
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to see the big picture, anticipate future business needs, spot future trends, and create long-term plans that aligns people strategies with organisational goals.
  • Skilled in designing and leading change initiatives, and the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt quickly, think flexibly, and respond effectively to change and uncertainty.
  • Competent working with data and evidence, can identify relevant business issues from data and act based on data analysis and judgement.
