Job summary

Sompo Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner for our London office to partner with senior leaders across Risk & Operations and IT.

You will drive organizational design, change management, talent development, coaching, and performance processes within a true international matrix environment. The role requires 3+ years as an HR Business Partner, a strong educational background (2:1 degree or equivalent), and excellent communication.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of HR Business Partner experience, preferably in a large, international insurance environment.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills across all levels of leadership.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple global HR processes within a matrix structure.

Responsibilities

  • Act as primary HR partner to senior leaders in Risk & Operations and IT functions.

Sompo has a unique opportunity for a Human Resources Business Partner in our Human Resources Corporate Functions team. The Corporate Functions HR team supports Sompo’s functions globally, providing tailored partnership to leaders to enhance the functions across the full employment lifecycle. The Business Partner is aligned to the Risk and Operations and IT functions, providing strategic business support to the function globally. Our business, your impact, our opportunity:What you’ll be doing:* Managing and coordinating a full range of strategic HR requirements across the full employment Lifecyle to ensure optimal operation of HR Business Partnership.* Acting as primary contact point for senior leaders and providing client support.* Actively contributing and facilitating in the execution of all global HR processes along the employee lifecycle in partnership with the Centres of Expertise (COE) and the global HR team. Key areas of focus will include: Organizational Design, Change Management, Talent Management, Coaching, Performance Management, Employee Relations and Headcount management.* Continually support and promote the Company’s Engagement & Inclusion initiatives.* Ensure compliance with all applicable local legislations and regulations.* Assist in the review, execution, and monitoring of policies and procedures to ensure effective awareness in the understanding and application, working closely with respective COE teams and HR Governance.* Participate in research, implementation, development, and enhancement in both local and global projects and initiatives What you’ll bring:* Experience (3+ years) in a HR Business Partner role, preferably within the insurance industry, in a true international matrix structure consistent. Workday experience advantageous.* Strong education background (2:1 degree or equivalent).* Strong relationship building skills and experience, evidence of gaining credibility and effective working relationships at all levels.* Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills, with a clear team focused approach and way of working in a fast-paced environment.* Proven track record in problem-solving; excellent attention to detail, project management and organisational ability.
