Job summary

Jigsaw Specialist Recruitment Limited is assisting a well-established organisation in Southern England to recruit an experienced HR Business Partner for a 12-month maternity cover contract. The role covers a large geographical area with regular travel, supported by a hybrid work pattern.

You will partner with senior stakeholders to manage ER, coach managers, and drive change initiatives across multiple sites while ensuring UK employment law compliance. A CIPD Level 5 qualification is preferred.

Southern England Regional / Hybrid Role

Jigsaw Specialist Recruitment is working with a well-established organisation to recruit an experienced HR Business Partner for a 12-month maternity cover contract.

This is a hands‑on partnering role supporting a large geographical area across Southern England, from south of London through to Devon and up towards Gloucester. Regular travel, typically 2-3 days per week, is therefore an important part of the position.

The Role

Working closely with senior stakeholders and managers, you will:

• Manage a varied ER caseload, including complex and sensitive cases.
• Coach, advise and influence managers on people matters.
• Support organisational change and wider people initiatives.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across a multi‑site operation.
• Support engagement, retention, talent and succession activity.
• Use people data and insights to identify trends and improve performance.
• Ensure policies and practices remain compliant with UK employment law.

About You

We're looking for an experienced HR Business Partner or strong Senior HR Advisor ready to step up.

You’ll ideally have:

• Strong hands‑on employee relations experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management, coaching and influencing skills.
• Experience supporting organisational change.
• A pragmatic, commercial approach.
• CIPD Level 5 or equivalent.
• Experience within care, healthcare or another fast‑paced operational environment would be advantageous.
• Flexibility to travel regularly throughout the Southern region.
