Job description

HR Business Partner; based in Filton; 6 month contract; GBP28.73 per hour PAYE or GBP38.43 per hour Umbrella; 35 hours a week


We are pleased to have the opportunity to recruit a Human Resources Business Partner to be part of a busy HR team working for a global aerospace client based in Filton. It is a very supportive and collaborative team, the team all have very different customers but come together for events, knowledge sharing, co-dev and a bit of fun.


You are an HR consultant in how you partner with, listen to and advise your business area. You also ensure that HR policies are applied and that HR processes are implemented effectively and consistently in the business area in line with local legislation and global HR strategy.


Responsibilities
  1. Becoming a true partner to the business and advising managers in their management roles in line with HR strategy
  2. Working with managers and employees to drive the human aspect of change and champion company values
  3. Establishing a two-way information flow with the business and the Centers of Expertise: ensuring management awareness for HR policies and providing input on business needs to the Centers of Expertise
  4. Providing managers with HR tools and practices for managing all HR-related processes
  5. Supporting and challenging managers on the qualitative and quantitative aspects of resource planning (skills, headcount planning), internal and external mobility/recruitment and contributing to the staffing plan
  6. Advising and coaching managers and employees on career development, supporting the deployment and integration of people development, remuneration and talent management processes, supporting team and focus reviews
  7. Ensuring effective employee relation solutions within existing local employee relation policy and practice

Skill Set
Essential
  1. A high level of emotional intelligence as well as good listening and coaching skills
  2. Generalist HR knowledge with good change management competencies
  3. A highly proactive mindset, the ability to anticipate and address business issues and offer solutions to managers
  4. The ability to work autonomously whilst connecting with, influencing and challenging your business
  5. Proficient conflict management, teamwork and collaboration skills
  6. Employee relations experience

The role holder will be CIPD qualified or qualified through experience and will have worked within a larger organisation. You will need to have excellent Generalist HRBP experience and be self-sufficient and able to work autonomously. The role holder will need to be happy to support case management ER disciplinaries, grievances etc. Change management competencies are required.


The successful candidate will be required to work on site 60% of the time as a minimum.
