Overview

CMA Recruitment Group is delighted to be working exclusively with a leading manufacturing business to recruit an HR Business Partner for a 10-month fixed-term contract based in Southampton, Hampshire. Reporting to the Site HR Manager and supporting approximately 150 employees across key manufacturing operations, this role will act as a trusted partner to business leaders, driving people strategy, talent initiatives, and employee engagement during a period of change and growth.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with manufacturing leaders to deliver the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to development, engagement, and retention
  • Lead succession planning, talent development, and career progression initiatives to build a future-ready workforce
  • Manage employee relations cases, advising managers on complex matters and ensuring compliance with UK employment law
  • Support recruitment campaigns, career fairs, and onboarding to attract and retain talent
  • Deliver engagement and inclusion programmes, fostering a positive workplace culture
  • Administer annual pay reviews, training compliance, and benefits processes
  • Lead and support HR projects, including change management and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience within a manufacturing or complex operational environment
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and HR best practices
  • Proven experience as a trusted partner to leadership teams with the ability to influence and drive change
  • Excellent stakeholder management, problem-solving, and coaching skills
  • Comfortable analysing HR metrics to support data-driven decision-making
  • Able to adapt in a fast-paced, high-performing business environment
