This is a great opportunity to showcase and develop your existing HR/People skills and knowledge as part of a friendly and supportive HR team at a large and diverse London Borough Council.

This is a key position within the HR Business Partner Team, providing professional advice and guidance to managers on a wide range of complex people-related areas. The post will be the lead contact for one or more of the Council’s Directorates and will be a strategic partner to departmental management teams and managers, aligning Human Resource and business strategy both at a Corporate and Departmental level. Working to deliver the Corporate vision and objectives by supporting the development of a highly skilled, motivated, and flexible workforce to deliver cost-effective services. Supporting managers to achieve their service objectives through effective workforce management and value-for-money service delivery that meets customer needs and focuses on continuous improvement.

The successful applicant will be able to engender trust and confidence among senior managers and work effectively within a matrix structure, providing advice and guidance to Employee Relations Advisors.

This challenging role involves working to deadlines and establishing relationships with the client group quickly.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain in-depth experience working at a senior level in a busy HR department.

You should have good knowledge of employment law and HR best practices, and be a team player willing to be flexible, providing business-focused solutions to support service delivery.
