Job description

Senior Salmon LTD are looking for a HR Business Partner to join their team in Pinxton.

As a key member of the HR, you will deliver commercially viable HR Solutions to develop capability and drive business performance. You will lead and support business change and promote behaviours ensuring HR is fit for now and fit for the future. Coaching and developing our managers is a key priority ensuring a consistent and fair approach to people management and proactive resolution of issues that arise.

You will also work collaboratively with the wider HR team (e.g. L&D and Payroll) agreeing any priorities to meet stakeholder requirements and deliver and embed processes.

Responsibilities Include

You will partner with People Managers across the organisation establishing strong relationships and representing the HR Team in a positive light by demonstrating best practice in all HR related matters.

You will work closely with the Senior HR Business Partner to support the development and delivery of the HR Strategy taking the lead or a supporting role on a range of projects as required.

Provide guidance and support to People Managers on a range of employee relations cases of varying complexity ensuring that documentation is prepared, and timescales are adhered to in a timely manner.

Maintain knowledge of developments in employment law and HR best practice and ensure that consideration of risk is embedded in all aspects of your work.

Coach and mentor people managers in HR best practice ensuring compliance with policy and employment law.

Assist and support the HR team with day-to-day HR operations encompassing a range of activities including but not limited to; drafting offer letters and contracts of employment, assisting with onboarding of new starters, pre employment and background checks, employee offboarding, employee lifecycle activities, recruitment activities and updating and maintaining information in our HR System.

Support the optimisation of the HR System through streamlined and effective processes and providing better employee experiences.

Continually review and update HR policies and procedures and standard operating procedures ensuring compliance with employment law and HR best practice.

Lead and support on a range of HR initiatives relating to organisational change ensuring smooth transitions and effective communications.

General Qualifications And Experience

Degree in relevant professional area/ and or similar equivalent Experience

CIPD HR Level qualification at Level 5 or above is desirable

Driving licence is essential.

Experience of managing multiple stakeholders in a complex and multi-site organisation

Experience of leading on complex and high-risk ER cases providing advice and support to line managers balancing risk and commerciality.

Experience of managing and advising on change management processes/

Experience of dealing with general day to day HR issues.

Critical thinking with excellent interpersonal skills

Demonstrate ability to build effective relationships at all levels and manage these relationships to achieve organisation goals.

Ability to work flexibly and accurately in a fast moving environment and to prioritise work to meet the needs of the organisation and ever changing requirements whilst maintaining professional standards.

Excellent ability to work autonomously using own judgement to make decisions and as part of a team.

Ability to work with diplomacy and assertiveness and maintain confidentiality at all times.

Excellent understanding of employment law and experience of developing and HR policies and procedures.

Competent in using Microsoft Office and HRIS software.
