Phoenix Group is seeking an HR Business Partner on a fixed-term contract for 6 to 12 months. This hybrid role, based in Bristol, offers the opportunity to influence the Protection and SunLife sectors. Job Type: Fixed Term Contract - 6-12 months

Location: This role is hybrid and is to be based out of our Bristol office, a minimum of 2 days/week.

The role

The HR Business Partner is a 6 – 12 month fixed term contract role partnering the Protection and SunLife business part of the Phoenix Group. This is a great opportunity to partner with a vibrant purpose led business working as a true HR generalist and genuine business partner enabling delivery of the people agenda to provide expert consultancy, at a multi-disciplinary (ER, L&D, TA) specialist level and enable successful delivery of Protection and SunLife plans. You’ll be using your skills to influence stakeholders and leadership teams in line with people strategy, governing policies, legislation and appropriate regulation. We are looking for a lateral thinker, capable of delivering innovative and pragmatic solutions at pace through their breadth of HR knowledge and experience with excellent communication skills and the ability to balance projects alongside BAU activities.

What are we looking for?

  • Proven experience of HR business partnering and/or HR generalist with a strong employee relations skillset.
  • Lateral thinker, capable of delivering innovative and pragmatic solutions at pace.
  • Commercial acumen and an understanding of the marketing business, with the ability to work strategically and tactically across the whole employee lifecycle, always demonstrating added value.
  • An autonomous and independent operator, with the ability to balance leading organisational design and delivery of people impacts, alongside BAU activities (ER, cyclical activity, manager coaching).
  • Excellent communication skills and proven experience of influencing, coaching and challenging people leader behaviour to drive culture change and the achievement of business and people outcomes aligned to the business vision and priorities.
