Job description

Job Title: HR Business Partner

Location: Brighouse

Salary: £30-£35k depending on experience

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: Full-time Monday - Friday but flexibility will be needed

Role Overview

As an HR Business Partner, you will play a key role in supporting the business with HR strategy, employee relations, payroll processes, and workforce planning. You will work closely with the senior management and operational teams to drive HR initiatives that align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Partner with senior leaders to provide strategic HR guidance and support.
  2. Manage employee relations cases, ensuring compliance with employment law and company policies.
  3. Oversee the end-to-end payroll process, liaising with finance teams to ensure accurate and timely payments.
  4. Support recruitment and talent acquisition strategies to meet business demands.
  5. Lead on performance management processes, providing coaching and guidance to managers.
  6. Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  7. Ensure compliance with employment legislation, GDPR, and best HR practices.
  8. Drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement, retention, and workplace culture.
  9. Lead or support HR projects such as TUPE transfers, restructures, and organisational change.
Person Specification

Essential:

  1. CIPD Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience.
  2. Strong HR generalist ideally with experience within a fast-paced recruitment or staffing environment.
  3. Hands-on experience with payroll processes and systems.
  4. Solid understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
  5. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.
  7. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically.
  8. The successful candidate must possess a driving licence and own transportation; any business mileage will be fully expensed.

Desirable:

  1. Experience working with HRIS and payroll software.
  2. Previous involvement in TUPE processes and change management.
  3. Experience implementing HR projects and initiatives.
