The objective of the HR department is to advise, support, and partner with the business to enable the Bank to achieve its strategic goals. The constantly changing commercial and regulatory landscape heavily influences how the Bank operates and evolves. Our role in HR is to support the business in their people strategies by hiring the right talent, providing training, and ensuring our reward strategies promote the desired conduct and culture.
Job Purpose
This HR Business Manager role acts as a partner to the Head of HR and their direct reports. It involves fostering relationships within the HR team and the wider business, shaping, driving, and operationalizing key activities. Supporting the Head of HR and collaborating with the PA to the Head of HR, you will help achieve results by creating, sharing, and utilizing information to guide priorities and focus the HR team effectively.
Additionally, the Business Manager is responsible for providing risk management oversight, including coordinating control reviews, overseeing Business Continuity Planning (BCP) for HR, and managing HR risk metrics and reporting processes, including Operational Risk Management.
Key Responsibilities
- MI and Reporting
- Produce MI and reports for senior management and governance committees (RTB).
- Collaborate with the MI team to ensure timely, accurate HR reporting and analytics (CTB).
- Review and improve existing HR MI and reporting processes, enhancing bank-wide people data analytics (CTB).
- Manage quarterly ExCo Conduct and Culture dashboard MI process (RTB).
- Draft HR updates for Board reports (RTB).
- Support Head of Reward with Balanced Scorecard reporting (RTB).
- Coordinate reporting of Gender Pay Gap (RTB).
HR and Head of HR SupportAssist in monitoring and delivering the HR plan.Manage key HR meetings, including DRM, weekly Operations meetings, and quarterly global check-ins.Coordinate closely with the HR PA for alignment on work and deadlines.Oversee HR budget, liaising with stakeholders and Finance.Review and optimize the HR operating model for efficiency and effectiveness.Represent the Head of HR in forums and committees as needed.Prepare presentations and develop agendas for meetings, providing briefing materials and guidance.HR Risk and Management OversightOversee HR Business Continuity Planning, ensuring resilience and testing remote access.Manage HR risk metrics, incident escalation, and act as the Operational Risk contact for HR.Coordinate the annual Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) and conduct Reverse Stress Testing.Manage outsourcing and SLA reporting.Project ManagementWork with the Head of HR Operations to oversee projects, ensuring resource allocation and timely delivery.Engage stakeholders, provide updates, and conduct post-implementation reviews.Coordinate with Internal Audit and manage HR-related audits and actions.Maintain the Engagement Champion network and act as a point of contact for queries.HR CommunicationsDraft and review HR communications, maintain the intranet, and communicate team updates.Liaise with the Executive Office on HR communication plans, including weekly newsletters.Business ChangeSupport with organization design and effectiveness initiatives, including data coordination.Regulatory ChangeCoordinate HR responses to regulatory requests and support related projects.Assist with Senior Managers Regime requirements.OtherUphold the Bank's values, develop, coach, and mentor HR team members.Preferred Qualifications
- Finance and/or Business qualification.
