CEA stewards the effective altruism movement, working to build a flourishing future by applying evidence, reason, and compassion to challenges like global poverty, animal suffering, and existential risks. The organisation has grown significantly, with headcount increasing from 42 to 66 core staff in 2025, and is scaling up capacity for grantmaking and fundraising.
