HR Associate (6-Month Fixed-Term Contract) – potential for extension

Are you an organised, people-focused professional looking for your next HR opportunity? My client is seeking a motivated HR Associate to support our team during an exciting period of transformation.

Location: Llandudno - Head office with travel to Warrington base(very occasionally). On site working until training is completed, then hybrid working – 3 days on site and 2 from home.

Contract Type: Fixed-Term (6 months, potential for extension)

Department: Human Resources

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £26,000 - £27,000 plus bonus (pro-rata)

About the Role:

As they work towards implementing a new HR Shared Services (SS) model, the client is looking for an HR Associate to provide essential support across core HR functions. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to meaningful change while gaining valuable experience in a dynamic organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support day-to-day HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, and employee queries.

• Maintain accurate and confidential HR records and systems.

• Assist with documentation and process updates related to the HR SS transition.

• Ensure compliance with HR policies and employment legislation.

• Travel to the Head Office in Warrington as required.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Performs a variety of HR-related administrative tasks and provides support to the HR team.
  • Processes accurate, relevant, and timely employee data through HR systems and provides data upon request to HR colleagues.
  • Administration of payroll changes and audit supporting Payroll and Benefits Professional.
  • Action specific requests and liaises with other departments to resolve any issues.
  • Administration support for recruitment, onboarding and offboarding activities.
  • Administration support for changes of employment status inc Maternity, Paternity leave, Change of terms, off cycle increases and ASR.
  • Deals with basic employee queries including payroll and escalates them as appropriate.
  • Accurate record keeping for People files. Ensure timely payment of invoices and raise PO’s when required.
  • Conduct pre-employment checks including DBS, Right to Work checks, References and Visa checks.
