Qualifications

  • CIPD Level 5 qualified or equivalent with a desire to complete.
  • Manufacturing experience is essential.

Position Description

Title: Human Resources Assistant (Part-Time)

Department: Human Resources

Location: Widnes, UK

Immediate Supervisor: HR Director Europe & Asia

Status: N/A

Position Purpose: Working with the HR Director to provide a HR Service to the UK team. To be the HR contact for all UK team members and supporting the growth of the UK team.

Principle Accountabilities
  1. To lead and complete recruitment campaigns as required, maintaining the highest standards of candidate experience at all times
  2. Responsible for the onboarding of all team members ensuring they are well inducted and trained on key processes
  3. Maintaining accurate HR records and liaising with payroll and benefit providers
  4. Respond to HR queries in a timely manner
  5. Implementation and development of key policies, procedures and guidelines as required and within legal requirements
  6. Ensuring company policies and procedures are adhered to
  7. Perform routine administration tasks including but not limited to compensation, benefits; investigation and disciplinary matters; grievances; performance, occupational health; and training and development
  8. Foster the plant culture; instilling the IPG values of passion, performance, integrity & teamwork
  9. To create and maintain a positive employee relations atmosphere ensuring collaboration of all team members across all shift patterns
  10. Actively participate in IPS (Intertape Performance System) plant initiatives
  11. Participates in corporate human resources activities and teams as required
  12. Promotes a positive work environment and people-focused programs and processes that foster continuous development and maintains positive relations with the workforce
  13. To actively participate in local activities on behalf of the company to promote IPG within the community
  14. Any other ad-hoc duties as required
Essential Skills And Experience
  1. Minimum part Level 5 CIPD qualified or equivalent with the desire to continue to completion
  2. Manufacturing experience
  3. Excellent Microsoft Office working knowledge
  4. Ability to work using own initiative
  5. Excellent oral and written communication skills
  6. Strong work ethic with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
