HR Assistant - Didsbury

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Assistant to join a professional legal business in the Didsbury area. The successful candidate will support various HR functions, ensure efficient administrative processes, and contribute to a positive workplace culture. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update employee records in HR systems and personnel files.
  • Assist with recruitment, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communications.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparing documents, scheduling orientations, and collecting equipment or credentials.
  • Prepare HR documentation such as employment contracts, letters, and reports.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, payroll, and other HR-related questions.
  • Coordinate employee engagement activities, training sessions, and company events.
  • Assist with payroll and benefits administration as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Office Manager on H&S, cultural, and administrative projects.

Experience

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Preferred 1-2 years of HR experience.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with HRIS systems is desirable.
