HR Assistant
Location - Manchester (with 1 day working from home each week)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a confident and people-focused HR Assistant to join a friendly and fast-paced HR team based in Manchester. This is a varied, hands-on role that's perfect for someone who thrives on being out and about, supporting others, and getting stuck into all areas of HR - especially employee relations. The successful candidate will support an HR Business Partner, providing day-to-day assistance across a fast-paced operational area. With one day a week working from home, this hybrid role offers the perfect balance of flexibility and face-to-face interaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Supporting the HR Business Partner with a wide range of HR activities
  2. Assisting with employee relations cases, including investigations and disciplinaries
  3. Handling employee queries in person, by phone, or over email
  4. Managing onboarding administration, including 5-year reference checks
  5. Keeping HR systems and employee records up to date
  6. Liaising with Payroll to resolve staff queries
  7. Supporting recruitment processes and issuing contracts
  8. Coaching managers on HR policies and procedures
  9. Assisting with TUPE processes and change activity
  10. Contributing to HR reporting, admin tasks, and project work
The Ideal Candidate Will:
  1. Be confident, approachable, and enjoy working with people
  2. Have a good understanding of HR processes and employment legislation
  3. Be proactive, organised, and comfortable managing a busy workload
  4. Have strong communication skills and a professional, friendly manner
  5. Be confident handling employee relations issues and supporting line managers
  6. Have experience with HR systems and good general IT skills
