Cheshire East Council is seeking an HR Assistant in Crewe. This role focuses on providing first-line HR advice to managers and delivering HR services across the council. Candidates should have a Level 3 HR Apprenticeship and be willing to pursue Level 5. Strong communication, analytical, and teamwork skills are essential to support compliance and efficient HR operations.

This role will focus on first line advice to managers in relation to HR Operations, providing clear and accurate information about HR policies, practices, initiatives, and procedures. It will also provide general support in the delivery of HR services across the four directorates within the council.
The post-holder will be required to have, be undertaking, or be willing to undertake the Level 5 HR Apprenticeship.

You will provide clear and accurate information regarding HR policies, practices, initiatives, and procedures to guide managers and staff, ensuring compliance with national and local conditions of service, as well as the Council’s values and behaviors.
Responsibilities include resolving queries at first contact, supporting managers with employee lifecycle processing via Unit 4, and analyzing workforce data to inform HR decisions.
