Job description

Job Title: HR Assistant - Recruitment (Part-Time, Fixed Term)

Within the HR Medical and Dental Services Team, under the guidance of the HR Advisor, the role of HR Assistant focuses on supporting the management of recruitment for career grade doctors, including Specialists, Specialty, and Locum doctors.

The responsibilities include administering the recruitment process from job approval and advertising to pre-employment checks and contract management. The HR Assistant will also attend interviews to provide HR support.

The role requires regular updates to our system, Jobtrain, to meet KPIs.

This position offers a non-contractual hybrid working arrangement, comprising 60% office-based work and 40% home working.

Candidate Requirements

  • Certificate in HR Practice/SVQ III in an administrative subject or working towards it, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrable administrative experience, preferably within an NHS or HR environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in PC use and the ability to prioritize and adapt to change.
  • Valid UK Driving Licence.

Contract Details

  • Fixed-term/secondment for 6 months.
  • Part-time, 30 hours per week.
  • Salary will be pro-rata.
  • Applicants on secondment must have prior approval from their line manager.

Location and Working Pattern

This role is based at Kirklands, Fallside Road, Bothwell.

Working hours are Monday to Thursday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

A non-contractual hybrid working arrangement is in place, with 60% office-based and 40% remote work.
