HR Assistant – Full Time | £15.83–£17.83 per hour

Location: Main offices based in Stechford, East Birmingham
A forward-thinking multi-academy trust in East Birmingham is seeking a committed and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join its central HR team. The trust supports a group of schools across the area and is known for investing in people, promoting staff wellbeing, and fostering an inclusive, values-driven culture.

This full-time role offers a competitive hourly rate of £15.83 to £17.83, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drafting and publishing job advertisements
  • Coordinating and scheduling interviews across multiple school sites
  • Maintaining and updating HR systems, databases, and personnel files
  • Completing pre-employment checks: references, right-to-work documentation, qualifications, and DBS applications
  • Supporting onboarding processes and maintaining the Single Central Record (SCR)
  • Assisting with a range of general HR administrative duties
Person Specification
  • Prior experience working in an HR setting is essential
  • Strong communication and administrative skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information
  • Good knowledge of recruitment and employment processes
  • Confident using HR systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • Willingness to undertake a DBS check
