A leading drilling company in Aberdeen City is seeking an HR Support Assistant to join their team. This role involves payroll support, training management, and various HR administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will be working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources and have excellent communication skills. Previous HR experience is preferred. Job description

Role Summary

Provide support to the Regional HR Team relating to Payroll Input, Training, Recruitment, Administrative Tasks, and ad-hoc Projects as directed by the Regional HR Manager. Contribute to the improvement of employment policies, processes, and practices, and recommend changes to the Regional HR Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the reporting of Payroll Elements on a Monthly Basis.
  • Assist with the review of Invoices in IFS for all Manpower Agencies and maintain Agency Accrual Spreadsheets.
  • Maintain the ‘Travel Tracker’ for each Rig to monitor Travel expenditures.
  • Support HR Advisors (HRA) and HR Coordinators (HRC) with new hires, promotions, demotions, and transfers.
  • Assist in Administrative tasks to support Local HRCs as instructed by the Regional HR Manager.
  • Support HRA’s and HRC’s in sourcing ad-hoc personnel to ensure rigs are fully crewed according to Standard Manning.
  • Assist in Weekly Training Reports to Rig Management and identify compliance issues where applicable.
  • Assist with the renewal of mandatory certifications and offshore medicals for offshore personnel in accordance with training requirements.
  • Assist with uploading Training Certificates to the Company Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Arrange travel as requested by the Regional HR Manager.
  • Perform other duties, support ad hoc projects, and carry out additional tasks as required, including other HR generalist duties as directed.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a relevant field.
  • Previous experience in an HR administrative role is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills: Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
  • Proficient in using HRIS and MS Office.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company and personnel information.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently, using initiative to prioritize tasks.
  • Maintain a professional attitude while dealing with a wide range of people via face-to-face, video, calling platforms, and email.
  • Highly organized and responsive, capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously and working to tight deadlines.
