Job summary

Howden in Milton Keynes offers a permanent HR apprenticeship starting with an 18‑month development programme. You will join the HR team and gain structured induction and hands‑on experience.

You'll learn through onboarding support, HR data analysis, and stakeholder engagement while working in the office at least three days a week. Eligible candidates are final‑year or recent school leavers with GCSEs and the right to work in the UK, ready to grow in a supportive employee‑owned company.

Qualifications

• Final year or recent school leaver.
• Interest in helping others and understanding how organisations support their people.
• Able to follow processes accurately and produce high‑quality work.
• Comfortable communicating with managers and colleagues at different levels.
• Curious, motivated and eager to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

• Join HR team and work alongside experienced colleagues.
• Support HR advisory and HR Employee Services teams.
• Respond to HR queries and maintain accurate employee records.
• Assist with new joiner onboarding and understanding how we support employees.
• Shadow HR Advisors and learn how they deal with employee-related cases.
• Build confidence communicating with stakeholders by supporting managers and employees.
• Assist with gathering and analysing HR data and producing regular reports.
• Maintain up‑to‑date and accurate HR records.
