Job summary

East Kent Colleges Group is seeking an HR Trainer/Apprenticeship Trainer to support and assess apprentices across a range of learning and workplace environments. The role focuses on developing practical skills, knowledge and confidence, with close collaboration with employers and learners to ensure timely progress.

The successful candidate will contribute to Internal Quality Assurance, uphold high standards of training and assessment, and bring HR expertise to an inspiring learning environment

Qualifications

• Hold, or be willing to work towards, an Assessor qualification such as D32/D33, A1 or the Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement.
• Hold, or be willing to work towards, an Internal Verifier qualification such as D34, V1 or the Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice.
• Have experience of supporting training, assessment and development across a variety of contexts.

Responsibilities

• Support and assess apprentices across learning and workplace environments.
• Work with apprentices and employers to ensure progress towards successful and timely completion.
• Provide assessment guidance, reviews and support through drop-in sessions, telephone and email contact.
• Adapt approach to ensure training and assessment are delivered effectively for each apprentice and employer.
• Build positive relationships with apprentices, employers and colleagues.
• Contribute to Internal Quality Assurance activities as required.
