Royal Mencap Society in Watford is recruiting an HR Apprentice to join a small, friendly team. You will work towards a Level 3 HR Apprenticeship while gaining hands-on experience across recruitment, payroll, compliance and employee relations.

The role offers training, mentoring and a potential long-term HR career. You will complete apprenticeship activities, gain practical experience, and contribute to HR projects while developing strong IT and interpersonal skills.

Qualifikationen

• 6 months office or reception experience
• Minimum 5 GCSEs including Maths and English
• Interest in learning about HR and completing apprenticeship
• Strong IT skills and good interpersonal skills

Aufgaben

• Recruitment: advertising roles, reviewing applications, telephone interviews, pre-employment checks
• Payroll: support monthly payroll data entry and information collation
• Compliance: audit staff files, right to work checks, maintain records
• Correspondence: letters and emails re pensions, benefits, inductions, changes to contracts
• Employee relations: support in grievance/disciplinary meetings, draft outcome letters
• Absence management: assist reporting and administration
• Training and development: admin and updating employee records, arranging training
• Maintain HR policies and HR documentation
• Work on HR-related projects with colleagues
• Learn new skills through practical experience, formal learning and on-the-job training
