Introduction

Role Overview

All roles in our team are critical to delivering our goals, and this position is no exception. It is a varied role, reporting to the Head of Resourcing, focused on providing excellent Recruitment, Learning & Development (L&D), and HR administrative support across our business groups.

Apprenticeship Details

The successful candidate will undertake the HR Support, Level 3 apprenticeship through Lifetime, which lasts approximately 13 months.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Recruitment

  • Support recruitment activities, including candidate attraction, vacancy marketing, candidate management, assessment, and communication.
  • Assist with early careers recruitment, including internships, graduates, and apprentices.
  • Monitor and update the applicant tracking system for effective candidate management and communication.

Learning and Development

  • Support the rollout of mandatory online training to all employees.
  • Manage employee access to online training platforms like LinkedIn Learning and My Thrive.
  • Assist in organizing and running L&D events and activities, both online and in-person.

HR Operations

  • Provide administrative support for HR activities, including reference checks, employment letters, and monitoring key employment dates.
  • Raise Purchase Orders and process invoices promptly.
  • Support HR initiatives, projects, and other operational tasks as needed.

Key Requirements

  • No prior HR experience required; a genuine interest and enthusiasm for HR are essential.
  • Customer service attitude, comfortable interacting with candidates, stakeholders, and colleagues at all levels.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Innovative thinking and problem ownership.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent IT skills, especially MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • Interest in sustainability and contributing to sustainability improvements.
