Job summary

VanRath is recruiting an HR Apprentice for a leading energy sector organisation. The role offers practical HR experience and a recognised degree, helping you build a strong foundation for a career in human resources.

You'll assist with recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, and employee engagement within a flexible hybrid arrangement that supports part-time study and mentoring.

Qualifications

  • Hold BCC A Levels or equivalent, along with GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above.
  • Genuine interest in people, organisations, and employee experience.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office or willing to develop IT skills.
  • Curious, proactive, and eager to learn and develop.
  • A collaborative team player with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with recruitment processes, such as preparing role information, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
  • Support onboarding activities to ensure a smooth experience for new starters.
  • Help coordinate learning and development activities, including maintaining training records and preparing materials
  • Contribute to employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives, including surveys and internal communications.
  • Maintain accurate HR and recruitment records, supporting HR systems and reporting.
  • Provide administrative support across various HR activities, including document preparation and meeting organisation.
  • Participate in team meetings, offer ideas, and support ongoing projects and campaigns.
