20 hours per week over 4 days - Part Time

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HR and Business Services Manager to join our client. This role encompasses HR responsibilities and provides general administrative support across the business.

The ideal candidate will manage and enhance HR functions and support office management, working primarily from Newbury with three days in the office.

Previous experience in a similar role is required, with a strong understanding of HR practices up to CIPD level 5 or Level 3 with relevant experience. This is a dual role in HR and Office Management.

Duties include:

  1. Overseeing recruitment processes, including managing onboarding with recruitment agencies and participating in interviews.
  2. Ensuring HR policies and procedures comply with legal standards and best practices.
  3. Managing rewards and benefits administration.
  4. Capturing and analyzing employee feedback and data.
  5. Managing the employee lifecycle administration.
  6. Facilitating training programs and professional development initiatives.
  7. Maintaining accurate records for sickness and absence management.
  8. Communicating effectively across all staff levels, both written and verbally.

The role also involves:

Office Management and Facilities:

  • Liaising with landlords regarding office maintenance.
  • Managing external contractors such as cleaners and maintenance providers.
  • Assisting with telephone handling and incoming calls.

Health and Safety:

  • Managing H&S compliance across the business.
  • Leading first aid and fire marshal responsibilities (training provided).

IT Support:

  • Supporting IT infrastructure alongside the Business Services team.
  • Managing security training in collaboration with IT training providers.

Social Events:

  • Organizing company social events.

Finance:

  • Administering salary benchmarking and annual salary banding reviews.
  • Assisting with payroll, pension administration, and managing mobile contracts.
  • Providing administrative support to the Finance Director.
