Job description

Sue Ross Recruitment are working on behalf of our client, a highly respected employment law and HR consultancy to recruit an HR Advisor/Trainer on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities for the HR Advisor/Trainer:

  • Deliver generalist HR advice to organisations of various sizes across all sectors, communicating pragmatic and tailored advice to all clients.
  • Draft and prepare documents such as contracts of employment, policies, procedures and letters and other documents.
  • Look after the HR needs of your own group of clients who use our retained HR services.
  • Provide support to clients with investigation, grievance, disciplinary and other sensitive matters.
  • Design, deliver and evaluate high-impact training sessions for clients across diverse sectors, covering both core HR topics and tailored development needs.
  • Collaborate with clients to identify training needs and create bespoke learning solutions aligned with business goals.
  • Develop high standard of training materials and resources, including presentations, learning booklets, interactive tasks and post-training follow-ups
  • Deliver HR related training to clients both in person and virtually

Candidate Requirements for the HR Advisor/Trainer:

  • 2+ years practical experience in an HR advisory role where you supported and/or delivered training on issues around the employee lifecycle.
  • Up to date knowledge of HR and training best practice and preferably also employment law from recruitment to termination.
  • Experience designing and delivering engaging training for a variety of audiences, both in-person and remotely.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently at all levels.
  • Adaptability and willingness to handle client issues across a variety of industry sectors.Enthusiasm and willingness to participate and take ownership of the firm s business
  • development activities in Sheffield.
  • Commercial awareness and experience contributing to tenders, discussing funding opportunities, and aligning training solutions with business
