About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a forward-thinking organisation with a vibrant culture, providing a broad and diverse range of services across Darlington. If you are a self-starter, passionate about HR, creative, and thrive in a busy environment with a keen eye for detail, then this role is for you.

This role will support our new workforce strategy launching in September, focusing on talent, engagement, and wellbeing initiatives, alongside day-to-day HR activities such as job evaluation and policy maintenance.

We seek a team player willing to get involved in broader HR activities, with excellent communication skills and confidence in engaging with managers, employees, trade unions, and external partners. A successful track record as a HR generalist, good knowledge of employment law, and experience in shaping HR policy are essential.

Working Arrangements & Benefits

The role is for 37 hours per week with flexible working options, including from home or at the Town Hall or other council buildings, depending on your needs. We provide equipment to support a productive and flexible work environment.
