Job description

We're recruiting on behalf of a large public sector organisation in their search for a HR Advisor.

A brilliant opportunity to contribute to vital public services within a respected local government organisation, providing expert HR advice and support to managers and employees, helping to drive organisational effectiveness, ensure compliance, and foster a positive and inclusive workplace.

The role:

  • Provide advice and support to applicants, employees and managers on HR queries and enquiries.
  • Represent HR at operational meetings advising and guiding supervisors answering queries and scheduling HR activities.
  • Undertake projects as allocated by HR Managers gathering relevant information, preparing reports and making recommendations to improve service delivery and promote innovative developments.
  • Attend meetings of Mangers and employees in review of sickness or other absence.
  • Prepare Occupational Health referrals.
  • Write and review job advertisements, job descriptions and personnel specs as required.
  • Prepare recruitment and selection documentation and participate in shortlisting and interview panels.
  • Produce job offers and contracts of employment.
  • Input daily recordings of sickness and absence.
  • Conduct exit interviews.

The Person

As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:

Essential:

  • CIPD Level 3 qualification or extensive experience in the below:
  • Experience working in a people orientated role.
  • Experience dealing with challenging queries advising internal and external customers on issues.
  • Experience working in a role involving the inputting of accurate information.
