Job description

37 hours per week (part-time or term-time considered).

Fixed term until 31 August 2025.

Join our Human Resources team supporting an effective HR Advisory Service across Island schools. This fixed-term role offers the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide advice and guidance to Headteachers, School Business Managers, and Senior Leaders on HR issues.
  2. Support casework including disciplinary, capability, sickness absence, and grievances.
  3. Manage a caseload of formal HR cases.
  4. Design and deliver policy-related training.
  5. Assist managers and employees in interpreting HR policies, promoting best practices.
  6. Maintain HR policies, guidance, and intranet resources for self-service use.
  7. Encourage continuous improvement and consistency within the team.
Candidate Profile

Demonstrable experience in HR advisory roles and holding a CIPD Level 7 qualification.
