Job summary

Nuffield Health is seeking an experienced HR Adviser in a hybrid role based in Epsom & Barbican. You will partner with leaders to manage a broad range of complex employee relations matters, ensuring fair and compliant application of policies.

You will own ER casework, support change initiatives, and participate in consultations, bringing strong employment law knowledge and coaching ability to the People Team.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in an HR Advisory role with a strong focus on employee relations.
• Proven ability to manage complex ER cases end-to-end.
• Sound knowledge of UK employment law, particularly ER and change.
• CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead on a wide range of employee relations casework, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance and wellbeing matters.
• Provide expert, risk-based advice to managers, ensuring outcomes are fair, consistent, and legally compliant.
• Coach, support and challenge leaders to build capability and confidence in managing complex people issues.
• Prepare high-quality case documentation, including outcome letters, investigation reports, and management guidance.
• Manage cases end-to-end through the HR case management system, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely resolution.
• Identify trends in ER activity and proactively recommend improvements to reduce risk and enhance employee experience.
• Work collaboratively with HRBPs, legal advisors, occupational health, and other stakeholders on complex or high-risk cases.
