Your new company

Manufacturing business in Wigan are seeking a competent HR Advisor to join their friendly team. This organisation is committed to providing an effective, proactive, and value-adding Human Resources function to support both site and field-based staff.

Your new role

As a HR Advisor, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining effective working relationships with managers and employees. You will provide day-to-day support and advice on HR policies, practices, and procedures, and manage employee relations queries. Your responsibilities will include supporting the full employee lifecycle, managing grievance and disciplinary issues, ensuring employee welfare, maintaining the HR database, and organising benefit schemes. You will also be involved in talent acquisition, delivering the HR strategy, and handling occupational health referrals.

What you will need to succeed

  • Level 5 Diploma in Human Resource Management or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment and with trade unions.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in employment law, employee relations, and welfare.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to internal customer service.
  • Outstanding attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
