The role

As a HrAdvisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be at the heart of our mission to build a resilient, high-performing workforce. This is a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to make a real impact, supporting line managers, advising on employment law and driving HR initiatives that shape the future of defence and engineering. You’ll be a trusted partner, helping to create a workplace where people thrive and performance excels.

Day-to-day, you’ll be:

  • Advising line managers and employees on employee relations matters such as absence, performance and investigations
  • Supporting HR projects including workforce consultation and engagement initiatives
  • Delivering training and coaching sessions to enhance people management capability
  • Interpreting and implementing corporate policies in a unionised environment
  • Collaborating with the HR Business Partnering team on ad hoc initiatives

This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with three to four days onsite at Devonport.

Essential experience of the HR Advisor:

  • Providing employee relations advice and employment law guidance
  • Interpreting and implementing corporate policies
  • Working in a fast-paced, multi-site environment
  • Supporting local change management initiatives
  • Navigating the complexities of a unionised workforce

Qualifications for the HR Advisor:

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
