Your new role

The HR Advisor role provides efficient HR employee relations support to the business units, ensuring the effective delivery of the Group HR strategy and providing proactive, business-focused HR support. The HR Advisor will ensure effective management of employee relations cases across specific business units, working closely with 2 Managing Directors and their Senior Leadership teams. Regional presence and support is a key aspect of the role.

What you'll do:
  • Deliver effective HR services to assigned business areas, assisting line managers with policies and procedures in line with best practices.
  • Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and managers to monitor HR practices and ensure compliance, providing professional advice and guidance.
  • Lead case management across your business areas, handling complex attendance issues, performance management, grievances, restructures, redundancies, and reevaluation of posts, in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Ensure consistency and compliance in case management, and highlight trends for wider HR learning.
  • Support the development and implementation of HR policies and update Employee Handbooks as needed, ensuring policies are current on all relevant drives.
  • Produce regular HR reports on topics such as employee engagement, sickness absence, turnover, analyzing trends and identifying improvement opportunities for the HR Manager, SLT, and Heads of Business.
  • Monitor employment practices and law trends to advise on proactive actions.
What you'll need:
  • Degree or equivalent
  • Chartered or Graduate member of the CIPD or relevant qualification
  • Commercial awareness
  • Commitment to CPD

  • Planning, prioritizing, and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience handling demanding ER caseloads
  • Data analysis and trend interpretation skills
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Knowledge of various sectors within the Group and collaborative working skills
  • Ability to work independently to meet deadlines and manage priorities, maintaining communication with the wider team
  • Focus on continuous improvement
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel
