HR Advisor

We are seeking an HR Advisor to lead site recruitment, support employee relations and coordinate engagement activities! This is a site-based role at Poole Bakery which specialise in food production of savoury pastry products, home to the famous Wall’s brand.

Location:Poole, BH15 2AS

Hours:Monday – Friday, 8:00 – 17:00

Key Duties:

  • Support the site HR Business Partner in delivering the site HR Strategy including leading local or group projects
  • Provide case support for employee relations including investigations, notetaking, and producing letters and packs.
  • Tracking absences, highlighting where triggers have been met and supporting managers with absence and probation reviews
  • Provide advice and coaching to managers across the employee lifecycle including performance management, disciplinary hearings and interviews
  • Note taking support in consultation processes (Change of terms, redundancy, TUPE) as required
  • Coordinate employee engagement and charity activities on-site including daily site communication
  • Ensure effective deployment of Speak Up and the grievance procedure to ensure that concerns are dealt with in a timely manner
  • Ensure the effective triage of day-to-day queries to self-service portal or HR Shared Services
  • Support recruitment activity to attract, retain and develop site – including involvement in talent mapping and succession planning
  • Manage site core staff manning and ensure recruitment activity is aligned to this plan
  • Update HR databases, trackers and reporting as required
  • Lead new starter inductions and complete Right to Work checks as required
  • Support site audits and agency worker audits

Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

  • Relevant HR experience in a fast-paced industry
  • Excellent organisation and administrative skills including use of Excel, Word and HR Systems
  • CIPD Qualification to Level 5, working towards or equivalent on the job experience
