Job description

HR Advisor - 6-Month Contract (Inside IR35)
Peterborough - Hybrid
£200 per day


This role provides high-quality HR support and guidance across the business. You'll manage a range of complex employee relations issues, support organisational initiatives, and act as a trusted partner to line managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide commercially focused, practical HR advice to managers and employees
  • Manage complex ER cases including performance, absence, grievances, and investigations
  • Coach and support managers to help reduce formal ER cases and mitigate risk
  • Support company-wide initiatives such as performance management, benefits, and organisational change
  • Guide and support TUPE transfers, ensuring legal compliance
  • Help promote talent and capability building across the business unit
  • Review and suggest improvements to policies and procedures
  • Partner with the ER Manager to ensure alignment and best practice
  • Some UK travel may be required

Required Experience & Skills:

  • CIPD-qualified or equivalent degree
  • Significant HR generalist experience supporting large employee populations (500+)
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and case law
  • Demonstrated experience in absence management, performance, TUPE, grievances, and investigations
  • Ability to manage projects and deliver HR initiatives
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint)
  • Experience with HRIS (Workday desirable)
