Looking for a HR role with real impact? Due to an exciting period of growth here at Wilderness, we’re seeking a passionate, proactive HR Advisor to join our established HR team and support our people.

In this fast-paced, varied role, you'll work closely with managers across the organization, offering expert advice on employee relations, policies, and people practices. Your work will help us create a fair, inclusive, and supportive culture through coaching managers, supporting wellbeing initiatives, and driving improvements.

What you’ll do:
  1. Advise and coach on a wide range of employee relations matters.
  2. Build strong, trusted relationships with managers and teams.
  3. Help drive talent development, succession planning, and retention.
  4. Lead on return-to-work and exit interview processes.
  5. Support risk assessments, OH referrals, and wellbeing initiatives.
  6. Collaborate on HR projects and policy improvements.
What we’re looking for:
  • HR generalist experience, ideally as an Advisor.
  • CIPD Level 5 (or working towards).
  • Great communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Confidence with data and HR systems.
  • Ability to manage a busy workload across multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to travel to services across Cumbria and the Northeast.
Working at Wilderness:
  • Working Pattern: Monday to Friday.
  • Annual Leave: 33 days per annum, with additional leave at 2 and 5 years’ service.
