The role
You will join an incredibly supportive business who deliver a comprehensive and business-focused HR service, which includes recruitment, retention, and L&D whilst supporting the management team with a range of employee issues.
Responsibilities
- Employee Relations – Provide advice and support on disciplinary, grievance, capability, and absence issues, ensuring compliance with policy and employment law.
- Recruitment & Onboarding – Manage recruitment processes, support hiring managers, and deliver effective onboarding and induction.
- Policy & Compliance – Ensure HR policies and procedures are applied consistently and align with UK legislation and industry standards.
- Performance & Development – Support managers with performance management, appraisals, and identifying training needs.
- Absence Management – Monitor attendance, support return-to-work processes, and liaise with Occupational Health as required.
- HR Data & Reporting – Maintain accurate HR records, ensure GDPR compliance, and provide HR metrics and analysis.
- Engagement & Wellbeing – Promote employee engagement, wellbeing, and a positive workplace culture.
- Projects & Improvement – Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives that support business goals.
Candidate Profile
- CIPD qualified.
- HR or Business related degree – or equivalent experience.
- We are looking for a minimum of 3 years experience working in a similar role (within Food, Drink or FMCG manufacturing).
- Be an empathetic individual, confident and be able to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience implementing change, policies and procedures.
- Good project management experience.
- Have a good understanding of current employment law.
